Music Therapy?
Music therapy is a well-established professional health discipline that uses music as a therapeutic stimulus to achieve non-musical treatment goals,
such as enhancing social or interpersonal, affective, cognitive and
behavioral functioning.
WHO WE ARE
We are a team of professional musicians, music therapists, educators and creators passionate about sharing our knowledge in music.

Music Therapy Network was founded in 2008 in Los Angeles, California by Chikako Horii.
She enjoyed a successful musical career in Japan as the lead singer in an all-girls rock band, TWIGGY, which released five albums under a major label, which is currently the Universal Music Group.
She also earned a degree in Communications, Music Therapy, and board certificate in 2005.

Horii continued performing as a musician in the band, Radical Blood Orange, after she moved to the U.S. Fueled by her passion for music, and guided by her vision, She has a degree in Communications, Music Therapy, and board certificate in 2005.She is also a music therapist who demonstrates how music can help people’s lives. In her spare time, she creates awareness in her community about the benefits of music therapy all over the world.
Her experiences in the music industry world and in music therapy inspired her to create the Music therapy Network, a global network of people in the field of music therapy, music education and music entertainment to share their experiences.
WHAT WE DO
Our objective is to inform the general public about what Music Therapy is and how music can help people and their communities.

Through utilizing our social network platform, not only we can connect all the music therapists, organizations, clients, but also, all the musicians who believes power of music. As a bigger picture, our goal is to show the world how music can make a difference.
